Key addition brings extensive global security and intelligence experience, furthering Clearspeed’s accelerated success in delivering risk assessment at scale for federal agencies

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – March 5, 2024 –  Clearspeed, the leading provider of voice analytics technology for risk assessment at scale in the government, insurance, banking, and security sectors, today announced the appointment of Donald (Don) J. Blersch as SVP of Government Innovation. Blersch will lead delivering Clearspeed’s AI-powered risk assessment solutions across agencies, drive strategic development to meet stakeholder needs, and empower a team of government relations experts.

Blersch brings over 35 years of deep public sector experience in developing, implementing, and advising on technology-led programs to address the nation’s top global security challenges. With multi-agency experience, including NASA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Blersch led the implementation of technology innovation while advising the executive leadership bench on a wide range of security disciplines, enabling the department to meet vital national security responsibilities with a well-vetted and trusted workforce, hyperfocused on the protection of sensitive, classified information.

“I’m honored to join the remarkable team at Clearspeed and eager to advance its mission to build trust faster with a reimagined approach to risk assessment,” says Blersch. “There’s a new era of innovation emerging at government agencies, and a need for collaborative partners who will drive them to embrace new frontiers,” Blersch continues. “Together, we will address the dire need for modernization across government technology solutions, and adopt new ways to vet risk and build trust at scale to help address the world’s top security challenges.”

Clearspeed continues to rapidly expand capabilities in the government and security sectors with a growing client roster, leadership and advisory bench, and industry partnerships. Recently, Clearspeed appointed ex-U.S. Federal Government executive, Parker Wise, and retired British Army Brigadier General, Lance Mans, to its advisory board. These appointments followed Clearspeed’s partnership with the Global Special Operations Forces Foundation (GSOF), to support the due diligence process for screening new members of the Foundation by delivering risk insights on complex topics.

“Don is a true catalyst for innovation, bringing a wealth of multi-agency perspectives, visionary, technology-led leadership, and an unparalleled legacy in the global threat landscape,” said Steve Wisotzki, Clearspeed’s General Manager for Government, Defense & Security. “His systems thinking approach will help enable our team to deliver intelligent vetting that better addresses high priority security threats, including national and overseas security clearances, supply chain risk management, critical infrastructure protection, and insider threats.”

Blersch’s successes with the U.S. government seamlessly align with Clearspeed’s commitment to helping organizations modernize vetting and build trust faster, by assessing risk quickly and accurately, with unbiased technology that can be used anywhere throughout the vetting process.
