Host system compatibility specifications
ClearSpeed Advance boards require at minimum the following host system specifications:
- 32 and 64 bit x86 based systems
- Intel or AMD x86 processor (or compatible)
- Free PCIe x8 or x16 slot or PCI-X slot.
Operating System (OS) compatibility
The following table shows the operating systems for which each software release is supported:

Software compatibility
CSXL functions
The CSXL library works with standard host math kernel libraries, such as MKL or ACML, to transparently accelerate BLAS and LAPACK functions. The following functions are supported:
- BLAS functions: DGEMM, DTRSM, ZGEMM, ZGEMM3M
- LAPACK functions: DGEQRF, DGESV, DGETRF, DGETRS, DORGQR, DORMQR, DPOSV, DPOTRF, DPOTR
Host BLAS library compatibility
The ClearSpeed CSXL library is compatible with the following host BLAS and LAPACK libraries:
- AMD ACML (2.x and 3.x)
- Intel MKL (2.x and 3.x)
- Goto (3.x only)
- ATLAS (2.x and 3.x)
