ClearSpeed Technology announces the formation of ClearSpeed Federal Systems, Inc. at HPEC08; discloses CSX700 performance results for embedded and defense applications.
Palo Alto, California, September 23, 2008 - At the High Performance Embedded Computing (HPEC08) conference today ClearSpeed Technology will announce the formation of ClearSpeed Federal Systems Inc. to address the needs of the US government defense market.
ClearSpeed will also be announcing new, industry leading performance results for the CSX700 processor. A paper being presented by Simon McIntosh-Smith, ClearSpeed’s VP of Applications, will disclose benchmark results for the embedded space and will also reveal details of the CSX700’s unique reliability, resiliency and adaptive power management features designed for demanding operating environments.

The CSX700 can deliver up to 96 GFLOPS for under 10W from its unique, many-core design. It integrates 192 processing elements, two 64-bit DDR2 memory controllers with ECC support and a PCI Express x16 interface. The CSX700 is manufactured using IBM’s 90nm process in the United States and is available today.
